In 07/2018 only the short hiking trail was free (closed sign at the junction to the long hiking trail). Firm footwear should definitely be chosen for the tour. Almost the entire way leads over scree.

Unfortunately, the bridge remains closed (May 2025). Those who enjoy climbing over scree—which is necessary for the hike to the bridge anyway—can get a little closer to the falls on the right side. However, you won't get close enough to see both waterfalls at once.
