Obersee parking spaces are scarce!

The path around the lake is beautifully laid out and you can see the surrounding mountains from the lake.

The lake is 983 m above sea level. M. framed by the peaks of the Bärensoolspitz, Brünnelistock and Rautispitz. It is fed by the Sulzbach and has no surface outlet.The Berghotel Obersee is located on the lake with a view of the lake and the Brünnelistock. Source Wikipedia

The Obersee - one of our favorite destinations for long and short hikes. Worthwhile at any time for short walks with the family. Especially recommended: Dare to take a trip in winter - provided you have a four-wheel drive vehicle and white as snow chains are mounted 😊. But you will be rewarded with a brilliant winter landscape!

Worthwhile excursion! Early arrival and good driving skills advantageous (narrow road up to the lake). In terms of tourism, the lake and the surrounding area are little developed: restaurants, benches, fireplaces or parking lots are few, but it doesn't matter. The Höhenweg is a pleasure because we were totally alone: most people stay at the lake. A unique and good experience to be alone in the mountains!

Beautiful mountain lake surrounded by beautiful scenery. A hike around the lake is definitely worth it.

Beautiful lake with a great panorama. However very old. All around you can hike well, certainly nice for children.
