Beautiful and well-preserved border tower with an interesting permanent exhibition. The small museum can be visited free of charge and provides an insight into the work of the border guards. Definitely worth seeing.

There are only four remaining border towers around Berlin, not all of which are freely accessible. This is a small museum and can be visited regularly. Plus free of charge. Very worthwhile in my opinion! See photo for opening times.

One of the last border towers of the former GDR is in Nieder Neuendorf. After the wall was torn down, the border tower was preserved and is now a memorial on the banks of the Havel. You can climb up here and take photos from before - after, impressive.
