St Michael’s is a Grade I-listed church in pleasant surroundings on the outskirts of Cheriton village. The church was built in the 13th century but was repaired significantly after a fire in 1744. Next to the door is a 13th-century trefoiled piscina. Rare 14th-century Flemish tiles survive under the altar.
