The Bruno Weber Park is a fantasy landscape with art you can touch, a garden full of mythical creatures and figures where you can immerse yourself in the dream world of the artist Bruno Weber.

The Bruno Weber Park is a sculpture park in the Swiss communities Spreitenbach and Dietikon, designed as a total work of art of the Swiss artist Bruno Weber, who died in 2011.

As early as 1990, a supporting association was founded with the Bruno Weber Foundation. The foundation should ensure the completion of the water garden as the centerpiece of the park and long-term financing of the operation. Marianne Weber-Godo sat down after Weber's death with the twin daughters for the preservation and continuation of their husband's life's work. [1]

The Aargau government council approved in May 2014, no further operating contributions and "attested to the artist's work in the reason, although a regional, but not even a mandatory cantonal importance." The art expert and former director of the Tinguely Museum, Guido Magnaguagno, judges the sculpture garden as a "monument national" and sees Bruno Weber on the same level as Art Brut artists such as Louis Soutter or Adolf Wölfli. [2] Necessary renovations could not be carried out, entry fees and donations were no longer sufficient. The operators hope for a renovation and continuation of the park, for which the support of patrons and donations is absolutely necessary. This goal is dedicated to the Friends of Bruno Weber Park.

The Board of Trustees had to be completely reoccupied twice in the year 2014 - essentially two points are disputed: The Sculpture Park is unique in terms of nationwide coverage, as it was classified by the municipality in 1998 as a special zone for artistic creation, in agreement with Bruno Weber. In this building zone, events related to artistic creation are permitted, but due to general legislation, uses that would make the operation profitable are excluded.

The second legal problem concerns the agreement of use between the family and the association, as the parcel on which the water garden hall was created has already been assigned to the Bruno Weber Foundation. Associated with this, donations that the Foundation receives can not flow into the private casket of the Weber family. [4] The residential building with garden has been privately owned by Bruno Weber's family. These ownership relationships have led to discussions with the Board of Trustees, in particular with regard to a user agreement between family and foundation that has not yet been signed.

In spring 2015, the park was reopened to the public.
