No idea what that used to be - but looks interesting. However, it is also a dead end, but it is worth the time to look.

These are remnants of the test area of ​​the rocket engines of the aggregate 4 (also retaliatory weapon 2, short V2) from the time of the Second World War. There are several such ruins in the woods around the Weiherberg landfill. West of the pond was the oxygen plant, the rocket engine test facility was on the current landfill site. When the French blew up the plant after the war they used so much explosive that in Raderach windows broke and a big lump of concrete was thrown on the hill west of the landfill (in front of the gate to the wooded hill landfill)

The concrete parts are larger than you imagine.

The remains of Hitler's secret V2 rocket production site are worth a visit - hopefully something like that will never happen again!
