The castle Maienfels near Wüstenrot in the district of Heilbronn was built between 1230 and 1250. The core castle, which is still largely preserved today, was uniformly surrounded by a ring wall.
Tour of the castle MaienfelsNowadays the special scenery of the castle Maienfels is used for concerts and theater performances. It is also possible to request the Marstall for civil wedding ceremonies followed by a reception in the castle courtyard.
When the gate is open, the yard can be entered at your own risk. An outdoor tour can be requested from Wüstenrot. A visit to the living rooms is not possible.

The castle Maienfels is a hilltop castle on a promontory above the Brettachtal. It is located in the same suburb Maienfels the community Wüstenrot in the district of Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg.
Castle Maienfels is considered a section castle, in which only one side must be protected, the other sides are protected by steep drops. For a long time, it contained the bells of the Protestant church below, which did not receive its current tower until around 1920.
