Versatile climbing park with plastic, "natural concrete", dry tooling system and via ferrata. All only with appropriate equipment and experience.

In 1990, the DAV section Duisburg was provided a part of the ore bunker pockets of the disused ironworks Duisburg Meiderich for the construction of a climbing garden. Through the use of many helpers, a climbing garden with more than 580 routes has developed. This makes him the largest outdoor climbing garden in Germany at the moment. The routes in the sector Nordparkhütte were mainly built with the help of unscrewed, artificial handles. It is roofed as the only sector and therefore offers the possibility to climb even in rainy weather. In sectors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8, apart from occasional tuition by hammer and chisel, the existing structures of the walls were often used. The routes have a length of about 10m - 22m and are only in the lead to commit.


There is also a via ferrata with some extremely difficult sections (since May 2005). But it is designed so that you can handle this without difficulty or omit.

Even though the parking lot on the landscape patch seems to be full, there are always quiet corners and opportunities to relax and admire the surroundings in the whole park.
