An adventure trail for families and anyone interestedLittle Ludwig Ganghofer spent a few carefree years of his childhood in Welden. Some of the stories are known from the “rascal Ludwig”, who later became a well-known writer and author of local novels. Since 2015 you can relive the pranks of little Ludwig Ganghofer on the so-called "Ludwig Ganghofer Lausbubenweg". Five adventure stations lead families and anyone interested to chapters based on Ganghofer's childhood and adolescent novel “The Life of an Optimist”. The approximately 3.5 km long circuit offers a lot of variety for young and old "forest explorers". Regardless of whether you want to dig for treasure in the sand or prefer to explore the forest from above from the observation tower - you will also go hiking and learn interesting facts about the forest and about Ludwig Ganghofer's childhood in Welden.
