On the horizon, on the ridge, you can see the wind turbines. They are located at Vielbrunn-Windlücke. (Yes, there is a replica of a Roman wooden watchtower up there).
During the Roman lord's lifetime, the Limes watchtowers stood up there, within sight of the villa. A signal flare could quickly raise the alarm.
Because of its lavish furnishings, there is speculation that Villa Haselburg was not a classic Roman estate, but rather a summer residence of Roman nobility from Dieburg. But this has not been proven.
