The Kottenforst extends over an area of 40 square kilometers southwest of Bonn. The forest area belongs to the Rhineland Nature Park. There is an extensive network of paths in the forest that can be easily explored by bike. Perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a while. The name Kottenforst comes from the Celtic word “coat”, which means forest.
