On the Rhine-Weser watershed between Elleringhausen and Brilon-Wald, directly on the Rothaarsteig, stands the ten-meter high fire oak. It was created by Jürgen Suberg. A bronze band is wound in a spiral shape around the trunk, which is decorated with painted carved reliefs, to the former summit of the tree and ends in a symbolic flame made of sheet titanium.
