The bay belongs to Lago di Tovel, which lies in the Val di Non. In the Baia Rossa, in English Red Bay, a breathtaking natural spectacle took place until 1964 during the warmer summer months: During this time, the microalgae, which were found here in the lake, bathed this part of the lake in a bright red.
