The parish church St. Petrus und Paulus is the parish church of the parish Galgweis in the place Galgweis, a district of the town Osterhofen in the Lower Bavarian district Deggendorf.

In 1670 there was considerable structural damage to the previous church, but it was not until 1724 that the first new building plans were made. For a long time, those responsible could not agree on a builder, although in 1731 the rotten roof structure and crumbling vaults had to be removed. In 1734, the Munich builder Johann Michael Fischer took over the new planning, but it failed due to resistance from the local clergy. Prince-Bishop Joseph Dominikus Graf von Lamberg withdrew the building supervision from the Galgweiser pastor after years of inactivity.
