The Unterreichenbach railway bridge is part of the Nagold Valley Railway and was built in 1874 by Johann Wilhelm Schwedler. With a span of around 60 meters, the bridge over the Nagold and the federal highway 463 is one of the largest supporting structures in Baden-Württemberg based on the construction principle of a Schwedler girder. It is dimensioned for two tracks. However, only one track was laid.

The bridge can only be seen in one of the pictures, which was taken from a distance (presumably from the main road in Oberreichenbach). I had already posted a more visible view of it as a separate highlight. It is visible from the spot on the unpaved forest path shown about 100 m further upstream of the Nagold and is in use for rail traffic.

The Unterreichenbach railway bridge over the Nagold River (built in 1874) is not only the town's landmark but also an underappreciated architectural highlight.

At 64 meters long, it is one of the largest structures in Baden-Württemberg, built according to the Schwedler girder construction principle (less material used while maintaining the same stability).
It is probably the only original Schwedler girder still preserved in Germany – an absolute rarity.
