Bieber Valley Railway and Grube Eleonore

An exhibition area with display boards and a cart. There are also benches for resting.

The mining exhibition (created by the Rodheim Bieber local history association) provides a look back at the operating times of the Biebertal mines. Bieber train station was the terminus for passenger transport, but there were also sidings for the transport of ore and lime to the Ida tunnel in Baumgartenstrasse and into the rear Kehlbachtal. Coming from there, the siding led on today's Bornweg over the Mühlbach and Bieberbach bridges and joined the main track in front of the train station (where baked goods and flowers are sold today). The bridge pillars over the Mühlbach are still preserved and can be clearly seen from Bornweg.
