The Col du Chaussy culminate at an altitude of 1,533 metres on a north-south axis between the Pointe de l'Armélaz (1,840 meters) to the west and the Cret Lognan (2,696 meters) to the east, it links the communes of Pontamafrey-Montpascal and Montaimont on the eastern slope of the Maurienne valley. Fresh water fontaine on the left side.
