Hiking

The nearly 2,000-year-old Sironabad hides behind a Chinese restaurant on the B9 in Nierstein. Through an iron gate you descend down to the double source, the air smells sulphurous. 1726, the bathroom was rediscovered, from 1802 then restored. In the 19th century it was on the edge of a large park, and the water was bottled and sold as medicinal water. The largest part of the rooms is not in the original Roman state, above the sources is still an original votive stone for the Roman god Apollo. The history club Nierstein offers guided tours.
