Hiking

The terrace slope, on which the city of Oppenheim lies, is riddled like a Swiss cheese. 1000 years ago, the Oppenheimer started to build a cellar labyrinth as a widespread warehouse. In the 20th century it finally fell into oblivion, until in the 1980s, the collapse of a street the Oppenheimer remembered the legacy. Since then, the labyrinth, which extends over six floors in depth, gradually restored. The tourist office near the market square offers guided tours through the maze.
