The nature reserve "Ochsenmoor" is framed between the Dümmer lake, the western Dümmer lowlands and the villages of Lemförde, Dielingen and Hunteburg. Here you will find fens, small and large sedge ridges, reed beds and occasional swamp forests. Extensively used grassland also shapes the landscape. The 1,029 hectare protected area is part of the FFH area "Dümmer" and the EU bird sanctuary "Dümmer". This forms the ideal prerequisite for breeding and resting birds. Especially ruff, snipe and gray geese can be observed here on your rest in autumn and winter. But also numerous other bird species.
