The chapel "Maria Schnee" stands at the end of a venerable avenue with century-old lime trees. The outwardly rather simple, but harmonious little church was built in 1701 - 1703 and furnished in the following years in the most beautiful baroque style. Above all, the magnificent choir room with its rich carving and the originally painted gallery, the visitors are always overwhelmed.

So you can call the little chapel a great testament to culture and craftsmanship in the village. Christoph von Schmid from the Lindenallee and the "clean" chapel were impressed. He was a chaplain here in Nassenbeuren from 1791 to 1795 and is said to have written the famous Christmas carol "Ihr Kinder Kinder ...".

The Maria-Schnee-Chapel is open for sightseeing from May to October, always on the first Sunday of the month from 14:00 to 16:00.
