North of Westernohe, near the Krummbach spring and about 1 km from the Wacholderheide nature reserve, there is a chapel dedicated to Saint Wendelinus, which was built by Johannes Gerz in 1887. It was given its current appearance in Bruchstein in 1933 by the builder's son. A sculpture of the saint, the patron saint of shepherds, is found inside the chapel, along with his classic attributes of a shepherd's crook and sheep. The place of worship was restored in 1987.

Unfortunately, the chapel is always closed. But still this is a very nice place to take a break, there are enough benches in the shade under the chestnut tree or in the sun.
