The holy grave of Bernterode was built on Lindey in 1798.Every year on the feast of Christi Himmelfahri, a procession led to the Klüschen that was modeled on the grave of Jesus Christ.
The inscription: "Memento Mori" should always remind us that our earthly life will one day come to an end. (The expression "Memento mori" - Latin. Thanks to the community, donations and the support of Bernterode companies, "The Holy Grave" could be rebuilt in the summer months.
