Good starting point for a hike, e.g. a lap around the lower basin via Wolfener Mühle (about 1-2 hours, see also komoot.de/tour/88326104?ref=wtd). There is a hiking car park on the dam.

There is a small parking lot by the dam, but it won't be enough at the weekend. But there is also one at the ski lift.
