Saline Gottesgabe Rheine

Not far from Rheine are the Gottesgabe saltworks and the Bentlage monastery, which are connected by a spiritual path. After many centuries as a salt mine, the saltworks was converted into a brine bath. Today, visitors to the Salinenpark encounter the technical monuments, the former spa buildings and the Tanzlinde.

A salt-boiling pan show has now been set up right next to the graduation works. Visitors can have salt extraction explained here.
Otherwise, the saline is located in the local recreation area Bentlage and the surrounding area invites you to take smaller hikes / walks. However, everyone who welcomes seclusion and loneliness in nature is wrong. When the weather is good, it is teeming with people, which also underlines the beauty and high acceptance of the local recreation area.
