The Aschach power plant is a run-of-river power plant on the Austrian Danube in the state of Upper Austria. It lies at the end of the Danube breakthrough between Sauwald and Mühlviertel near Aschach an der Donau.

When empty, the ship lock resembles a giant bathtub: with a length of 230 meters and a width of 24 meters, it offers space for several ships to lock ships. However, the Aschach ship lock has a special feature: it is 23.4 meters deep and therefore the deepest on the Austrian Danube. It is so deep because the extremely high fall height of 15 meters has to be compensated for.
