This spring is very close to the village of La Matea (m.t. of Santiago-Pontones), on the secondary road that goes to the district of Don Domingo from Santiago de la Espada.
The upwelling area is protected and cared for, with some recreational facilities next to the waters. Nearby are the Muso and Río Frío springs.
