Köhlbrand Beach Access (Sankt Peter-Ording)
Mountain Biking Highlight
Recommended by 194 out of 204 mountain bikers
Location: Sankt Peter-Ording, North Frisia, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
Sankt Peter-Ording has several main entrances to the beach, Böhl, Dorf (signposted as Südstrand), Bad (via Seebrücke), Ording (with a huge beach car park, which currently costs 8 € between 10-2021) as well as these small, rather unknown ones. It's called Köhlbrand and ends in a footpath and a cycle path. The bike can be pushed from the entrance. Many beach visitors use this transition because it is easy to reach by bike.
Hence my recommendation.
At the beginning of the transition there is a beach guard's house and everyone who wants to pass there must show their guest card (better known as a "spa card").

Sand, a stiff breeze, cars, sand yachts, kite buggy drivers ... everything is there.
