Mountaineering Highlight
The beautiful ascent on Geologensteig direction Schlernhaus you get to see all the splendor of the Schlernmassiv. After a refreshment there it goes up to the Monte Pez summit - even for the inexperienced is that possible. However, sure-footedness is a prerequisite. After crossing the Roterdkamm with a view of the Platt- and Langkofel, the tour continues from the Tirser Alp Hütte (second strengthening) through the Rosszahnscharte down to Almshchen and Kompatsch. Great tour!

The Petz (Italian Monte Pez, 2536 m) is the highest point of the Schlernplateau, which can be reached from the hut in only about 20 minutes. From here you have a magnificent view of the mountains - you can not describe it - you should experience it yourself!

If you want to do a nice day trip - BITTESCHÖN. The climb to the Schlern summit is steep, but it's worth it - the view is awesome and overpowering. After a refreshment in the Schlern house over the Rosszahn plateau to the Tierser Alp hut. From there up to Rosszahnscharte, Geröllweg (surefootedness) down over alpine meadows back to Kompatsch. Very nice tour!
