Mountain Biking Highlight
The Lindelbach Museum Quarry (more rarely: quarry on Schlossplatz, Lützelbruch) is a historic shell limestone quarry and a natural monument northwest of the Lindelbach district of Randersacker. On the approximately 15,000 square meter area there are numerous evidence of shell limestone mining, including the wooden derrick crane built in 1936 as an industrial monument. From the end of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century, stone masons ("Steehawers") mined square limestone here. Adjacent to the quarry is the Fanny House, which served the stonemasons as a weather shelter and tool forge.
