Binz now has the second longest pier on the island of Rügen after Sellin.
The structure can look back on an eventful history:
First built in 1902 with an impressive length of 560 meters, it was destroyed a few years later by a storm surge. After reconstruction in 1942, it was destroyed again by persistent weathering, waves and wind.
The current Binz pier was built in 1994 with a length of around 370 meters and has been one of the landmarks of the Baltic Sea resort ever since. It serves as a tourist destination, a promenade and also as a mooring point for the excursion boats that set off towards the chalk cliffs or the neighboring seaside resorts.ostseeurlaub-in-binz.de/sehenswertes/seebruecke-promenade

The Binz pier is, alongside the spa, the landmark of the Baltic Sea resort of Binz. It is particularly beautiful to look at in the dark when it is illuminated. From the bridgehead you have a beautiful view of Binz. In summer you can also enjoy the wonderful sunset here. Since summer 2024 there has been a large heart on the bridgehead to which you can attach love locks.
Various boat tours can be set off from the pierhead.
Fishing is only permitted from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. during the season.
The annual fireworks display is also very beautiful.
