The city and monastery church Brehna can look back on almost 1000 years of history.
The church, which was built in the Gothic style, was frequently rebuilt and expanded over the years.
The unusual size and shape of the church can be explained from the history of use, the three institutions that merge into it. The tower, which was originally not a church tower and only later received church bells. The church of the nunnery that was formerly to the south and the church of the parish of Brehna.
