The Wasserberghaus, a hiking home of the Albverein, is located at the eastern end of the Wasserberg on the Albtrauf with a wide view of the Filstal and the three Kaiserbergen mountains in the Göppingen district. The hiking home is open all year round, cozy taverns and outdoor seating invite you to stop. Overnight stays are also possible. Oh yes, and the landlords are dog-friendly too. The food was very tasty.
Day off: Tuesday and Wednesday. You can find more information at: wasserberghaus.de

The Wasserberghaus was built in 1926 by the Swabian Albverein and expanded in 1966. The varied landscape of the Albtraufes allows varied hikes to the east, to the west over the summits of Filsalb, as well as in a southerly direction to the rugged valley landscape around the upper Filstal, which was formerly called "Geißentäle". The Wanderheim is surrounded by beautiful Albwälder, which are interrupted by small juniper heaths. In addition to the cozy taverns, outdoor seating is available.

Andrea and Philipp are a great team in the Wasserberghaus and have been running their house successfully for a few years now. In the summer, Philipp paved the huge space in front of the house with beer sets, so even in Corona times, many guests were able to enjoy the Wasserberghaus by far. We always like to go to the Wasserberghaus and especially at these times such a location needs to be supported ... so the booth storms on Saturdays, because there is the world's best roast beef :-)
