Mountain Biking Highlight
With the Schaafheimer Wartturm a rare remnant of a country border from the late Middle Ages has survived the centuries until today.
From here you have in good weather a great view in all directions. Also here is an airfield for model airplanes. Always someone is there who demonstrates his arts in aviation.

The Warturm in Schaafheim was once commissioned by the Archbishop of Mainz, Berthold von Henneberg, in 1492. With its 22m, it was formerly intended to secure the shipping routes in the Kurmainz area.
It was restored in 1992 and today it is a popular meeting place for all kinds of people. From mountain bikers to hikers. Next door is a model airfield on which something is always going on or flying. Outside the tower are benches and tables. From here you can continue your tour or just climb the tower, which is always open and enjoy the view.
