Marienfigur in the Rodstein

Eight years ago, the Oberkochen citizen Eugen Weber, with the consent of the head of the Oberkochen real estate cooperative, Bruno Balle, and, through Bantels mediation, also the tolerance of the nature conservation authority at the Ostalbkreis district office in the Rodstein-Apri erected a figure of Mary, so that a kind of "Lourdes grotto" was created is. From time immemorial, the Rodstein in Oberkochen has always been hiked by pilgrims to the summit cross on 14 September each year after the festival of the exaltation of the cross. It is remarkable that in more than a hundred years on the Rodstein the whole Holy Family with the Christ Cross, St. Joseph's Chapel and Mary's Grotto has gradually been at home.
