Teglio (Téi in Valtellina dialect, Tell in German) is an Italian town of 4,505 inhabitants in the province of Sondrio, in Lombardy, located in the middle Valtellina. Since the third millennium BC This area attracted various tribes that merged to the original homo alpinus thanks to its fertility and its share. For several centuries, unlike today, the areas on the slopes were more suited to agriculture than in the valley which was full of swamps. Different age stems bronze found from 1940 onwards are preserved in the archaeological museum inside the Palazzo Besta called "Antiquarium Tellinum".
