The greatest naval battle in world history took place on May 31 and June 1, 1916 during the First World War. More than 240 warships were part of this test of strength between the English and German naval associations.
In just 24 hours, 25 vehicles were victims of a massive exchange of fire. Along with nearly 9,000 perished British and German marines, their fate was left to the sea.Hopefully such terrible events will forever be a thing of the past.seawarmuseum.dk/de/Die-Gedenkst%C3%A4tte-f%C3%BCr-die-Toten-der-Skagerrakschlacht
