Bike Touring Highlight
Very nice to go by bike or run a run. At the small reservoir you can also walk well with the dog. The industrial flair accompanies you through the whole walk and is almost unique. Next door (left in the photo) there is a small detour to the small hill, it goes up pretty steep. There you have a nice open panorama on Hösch and stadium

Remains of a bridge of the former slag train from the blast furnace Phoenix to the dump bush mill. The actual bridge is no longer preserved, but the still standing bridgehead give the place but a special "industrial-ruins-romance" and are also accessible as viewing platforms.

Remnant of a short former rail connection between the Phoenix steel plant and the waste deposit area Hympendahl across the valley used since the 1860s, with this viaduct completed in 1899. Long since collapsed, it is planned to install a viewing platform and reconnect both sides. ruhrgebiet-industriekultur.de/phoenix-west.html

Coming from the fat industrial backdrop of Phönix West by bike, we see the two imposing bridge piers without the missing middle section. The bridge piers stand as a technical monument on a small lake. The structure was built in 1901 and the line served as a slag track from the blast furnaces.
If you continue to follow my tour, continue to the banana cycle path.
