The train on the railway line from Bielefeld to Osnabrück is affectionately called Haller Willem. This route was opened in 1886. Originally, the haulage contractor Wilhelm Stuckemeyer drove the route with his wagon. He was the last haulier and was quickly called the Haller Willem due to its popularity among the population.

The "Haller Willem" memorial is intended to commemorate a coachman named Wilhelm Stuckemeyer. Around 1870 he drove twice a day from Halle to Bielefeld and back. With the construction of the railway line, his customers broke away - the name of the coachman is then said to be on the one that opened in 1886 to have crossed the railway line.
