The northern section of Burial Lane is just over 2km of churned mud to loose cobbles, with everything in between, and only barely rideable for gravel bikes in summer months.

From the south, it's a bone juddering ride over hardened churned ground, alongside pretty farmland, before getting to a narrow stinger-laden track which takes you to the second wooded hillier part. If you've made it this far, the remaining section is strewn with cobbles and the odd bare root, although by this point you're just happy your wheels are still intact.

Careful coming down from the north, as this is a shared route (please check your speed and stay slow for walkers) and there are some hairy turns (particularly in the wet).

Very broken terrain, doable with good suspension, but a nightmare on a gravel bike.

My bake shook so much that I lost some of my tools.
