Lakes of glacial origin, located at the north-eastern end of the Lagorai chain, within the "Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino" natural park. The smaller of the two lakes is located at 1,909 meters above sea level, extends for about 17,000 square meters and reaches a maximum depth of 9 meters, while the largest is located at 1,926 meters, extends for about 27,000 square meters and reaches the maximum depth. of about 15 meters. This area is both of archaeological interest, due to the discovery of finds dating back to the Mesolithic period during the 70s of the last century, and of contemporary history as the scene of very bloody battles during the First World War with numerous remains of works built during the conflict. .
