With its 34 million cubic meters of water, Lake Vagli is the largest hydroelectric basin in Tuscany. Lago di Vagli a huge reservoir, if not as in our visit months ago for cleaning purposes, the water was drained. The water was still far below normal level so you could walk in the dry riverbed. So you could still see complete walls, bridge parts and remains of houses that were simply flooded during the construction of the dam. When the lake is completely drained an entire village comes to light, which should be as far as I know in 2020 again.
