One of the few decently long segments of the San Francisco Bay Trail, which has been under development for over 20 years and still has less than two thirds of its planned 500 miles of trail completed. The trail only becomes really separated from road traffic south of South San Francisco at Burlingame's Coyote Point Park. From here to Palo Alto it's smooth for fast riding without any cars.
