The Lebbenbrugge museum, also known as Museumboerderij Lebbenbrugge, is a historical museum located near Borculo. The museum is housed in a beautiful farm dating back to the 15th century and is one of the oldest surviving hallehuis farms in the Netherlands.
The farm itself is an attraction in itself, but the museum also offers a unique insight into life and agricultural culture in earlier times. It gives visitors an insight into daily life on a farm in the 19th century. You can explore various authentic rooms, such as the bedroom, kitchen, upstairs room and the barn. The rooms are decorated with period furniture, utensils and tools, giving you an idea of what life was like back then.
In addition, there are also exhibits and displays that highlight the history of the farm and the surrounding area. You can learn about farming practices, ranching and the farm's role in the local community. There are also frequently changing exhibits covering different aspects of rural life.
The Lebbenbrugge museum is not only interesting for history buffs, but also for people interested in architecture, traditional agriculture and rural development.
If you plan to visit the Lebbenbrugge museum, I recommend checking the opening hours in advance as they can vary, especially due to special events and seasonal opening times.

Opened in the summer months with the help of volunteers. The park is a great place to sit and enjoy something from the small (and surprisingly cheap) café.
