In the middle of the Isarauen is the Poschinger Weiher - also known as Unterföhringer See - and this small "side pond". In the middle of Poschinger Weiher is a small bird sanctuary, which is not allowed to enter, but may well be observed. You can do that from one of the beautiful, partly shady places of the lawns on the lake shore. On the west bank there's also a beer garden with a lakeside restaurant, where you can fortify yourself, if you feel like it. And if you do not feel like taking a break, you just walk around the lake and around the pond - a nice little change from the trails along the Isar. If you are ever here, there is also a short detour to the "Hypoberg" - a small pile of rubble from the Second World War. From there you have a nice view of the surroundings.
