The FFH area moor forests at Wesloer Moor and at Herrnburger Landgraben
with a size of 91 ha is located in the east of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, directly on the state border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It encompasses the lowlands of the Herrnburger Landgraben with the adjacent moor forests.
Here you can bike through untouched beautiful nature with fantastic views of the moor.
The land moat forms the border moat with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Its valley area is largely mossed over ice age sand deposits. Despite forestry use and peat extraction in parts of the lowlands, a structurally and species-rich habitat has been preserved.
