There's a narrow section where it's very difficult to proceed and even find a path. I only made it through because someone confirmed that there was a way forward somewhere. At this narrow point, you can either cross the river or go over a steep ridge. I went over the ridge; going up was tricky, and going down was quite unpleasant in places because the path is barely visible.
In my opinion, it's very difficult to do with heavy luggage.
After the narrow section, there's a clearly visible path that gradually widens and eventually becomes passable again.
