El Guafe is an approximately 2 km long archaeological nature trail.

An underground river created 20 large caves here. In one there is the famous "Idolo del Agua", a face carved by Taíno Indians in stalagmites.

Of the 180 different species of birds and orchids advertised there was unfortunately nothing to see, but the "Cactus Gigante", a 500-year-old cactus - the oldest in Cuba.
