This stretch of cycle path follows the route of the former Argentario railway that once connected Orbetello Scalo to Porto Santo Stefano. The tunnels converted to pedestrian cycle use are still well preserved.

I have not found any trace of the tunnels for cycle use, nor indications that sent the cycle path that stops well before Porto Santo Stefano into the tunnel. In a couple of points the entrance to a tunnel is visible but the access is overgrown with weeds and / or on private fenced ground
