The bivouac in the Laggintal in the Monte Rosa area is located at 2428 m above sea level. After being destroyed by a dust avalanche in 1981, the bivouac has been rebuilt in a new location and today comprises 10 berths, a wood burning stove and a K-channel emergency radio. The bivouac is often used when walking on the Laggi mountain trail or as a base for climbing one of the region's many three- and four-thousand meter peaks.
